Purpose of the role:
The Goods In Inspector ensures that workloads are planned and prioritised and functions are carried out in an efficient and timely manner that best meets the changing needs of the business.
This role is a multipurpose role which combines goods receiving and quality assurance of products received into the company.

A hard working professional that is dedicated to getting the job done, ensuring quality and is able to assist in developing strong and robust goods in and quality processes.

A person that can highlight areas for improvement and assist in developing change whilst ensuring a strong consistency to work flow within the goods inwards area.

Essential skills:
A strong attention to detail and the ability to inspect fine details
Ability to understand or learn electrical and mechanical drawings
Ability to work, on own initiative or within a multi disciplined team
Strong IT skills word, excel and ability to learn in-house testing software
Strong customer service skills dealing with internal and external customers
Good analytical skills

The following is desirable:
Knowledge of electronic components
UK Driving licence
Knowledge of PCB boards and soldering

Specification Technologist
Reporting to the Technical Director you will:
Liaise with customers to develop and modify product specifications ensuring that they meet with the specified legal and customer requirements and are right first time

Work alongside suppliers to develop and assess product specification ensuring that products comply with the required standards

Ensure that raw materials specifications are kept on site for controlled ingredients

Work with food technologists to ensure specifications reach expected quality standards

Maintain a specification review database and ensure that all specifications are reviewed with agreed timescales

Maintain technical product folders

Assist with the compilation of supplier information for KPI reporting

You will have basic knowledge of legal requirements for food specification, ability to self manage, a good eye for detail and strong research abilities.
Knowledge of ASPECT would be an advantage.

Production Planner
You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the master production schedule, maintenance of the sales forecast, maintaining manufacturing lead times, fulfilling lead-time requests for the sales team and liaison and negotiation with the purchasing team regarding material constraints with the aim of achieving the optimum outcome. The main duties for this role include:
Analyse sales, sales forecasts and stock demands and prepare a long range of production plan that reflects the Company's ambitions, whilst monitoring and reacting to the ever changing short term priorities
Suggest changes as required to stock or forecast levels
Identify potential planning, material and workload problems and negotiate with appropriate staff to achieve optimum solutions and ensure actions are followed through
Balance focused effort with timelines to ensure that the Master Production Schedule is effectively prepared and maintained
Ensure that the short-term nature of the Master Production Schedule is managed so that the production and stores dept have a consistent flow of work
Understand project plans

You will have a recognised qualification in a manufacturing discipline, ideally production planning
Experience of small to mediumsize electronics batch manufacture in a fast moving environment
Experience of MRP/ERP planning tools
Experience with Windows based software

This position is initially temporary for approximately 3 months and is to start ASAP.

Main duties:

You will manufacture various types of assemblies using prepared worksheets, using bonding and fixing techniques i.e. epoxy resins, screws, nuts, drilling etc
To assist, when required, in other areas of the company
To assist with the building of prototypes
To carry out initial testing of piece parts used in production assemblies
To assist in the good housekeeping of the department and to adhere to all safety procedures
To adhere to all ISO9000 procedures
To adhere to material control procedures

Candidates would ideally have some previous electro-mechanical experience, have a pleasant personality, good work record, flexible and be prepared to work with minimum supervision.

Electronics Test Technician
Electronics Test Technician


Core Areas of Focus:
The Test Technician will be expected to work within the systems technicians’ team in the testing of high end products. This will involve an element of systems built & testing. Developing to Product Specialist.

Fault finding to component level is essential, working closely with the development team to find solutions to PCB faults and equipment faults.
The role requires someone who has flexible, hands on approach and willingness to develop the role through further training.

Key Responsibilities for the Electronics Test Technician
Systems final build and testing of high End Product Range.
Testing of products (Complete instruments, systems, and PCB’s following standard procedures.
Loading and testing of relevant software to meet customer’s specifications.
Fault find and repair products and PCB’s at component level.
Provide technical feedback to improve product quality.
Provide feedback to support process improvements and cost reductions.
Provide necessary information to support supplier returns of faulty products.
Maintain good stock controls through relevant procedures.
New Product Introduction. Assistance R&D in the transition of new products to assembly and test, in particular prototype build and test.

Skills and Experience
HNC or equivalent in an Electronic or Electro/Mechanical Engineering Subject. NVQ levels 3-4.
2-3 years experience within test / systems build environment eg, testing systems, mechanical fitting, panel wiring etc.
The reading of mechanical drawings & Electronic Circuit Diagrams
Fault Finding to Component Level.
Computer literate with knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook/operating systems MS-DOS.
Knowledge of MRP Systems and various databases. Pegasus.
Experience working in a ISO9001 quality standards company.

Self motivated and have a flexible approach to tasks (beneficial in helping across departments in the Production Area)
