Purpose of Role:
To assist the customer in integrating our client technology into commercially available products

Key Accountabilities:
Liaise with sales to gain knowledge of customer products
Install development kit, train customer in understanding the product and it's use
Collaborate with other stakeholders to agree project timeframes for overall development with customer.
Anticipating and dealing with issues and barriers to development.
Ensure regular communication so that the project runs internally and externally.
Customer is supported in a timely, professional and efficient manner.


Key Challenges:
Extensive travel throughout UK and Europe - occasionally worldwide.
Ability to mobilise and motivate the customer to achieve their own project objectives
Ability to troubleshoot customer problems and provide suitable solutions


Qualification, skills and experience:
Technical aptitude
Degree in Scientific or Engineering subject
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience in a customer facing role

Part Time HR Generalist
Our client is currently looking for an experienced, CIPD qualified HR Generalist to work on a part time basis for 25 hours per week.

Candidates will be required to have a knowledge of the recruitment process as well as having an up to date knowledge of Employment law application. Duties will include dealing with the disciplinary and grievance process, handling and resolving ER issues, advising managers across all levels and managing the training budget. The role will also involve dealing with compensation and benefits, training and development, company inductions, holding exit interviews and general HR policies and procedures.

Ensure good health and safety practices are integrated with assembly methods.

Qualifications / Experience

To provide a Technical Author maternity cover function within the Technical Publications Department.

Main Duties to include:

The authoring and production of Company Product manuals using Adobe Framemaker, in accordance with approved standards and procedures.

To be responsible for the compilation, assimilation and production of Technical Publication manuals and other deliverables, from engineering drawings/sketches and technical briefs both written and oral. Effective communication of such information to all involved members of the department.

To participate in project reviews as appropriate, and provide departmental manager with a summary of such reviews.

The maintenance of effective communication between Project Leaders/Managers and the department, relating to the type of deliverable specified at the onset and duration of a project, and the maintenance of a diary or other method of recording project events, occurrences and timescales. This information to be presented in monthly reports.

To be responsible for the on-going maintenance and updating of product manuals, in response to Engineering change, product enhancements and customer requirements, as directed.

Key Requirments

An Electro/Mechanical engineering background.
A recognised industry-standard qualification in Technical Authoring/Communication.
A proven and recent track record as a Technical Author with a minimum of 5 years experience.

Familiarity with The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 1992 (as amended).
Computer literacy essential and experienced and fully conversant with Adobe Framemaker.
Sound word processing skills are a pre-requisite. (MS Word).
Ability to work independently when required and at the same time be a member of a highly motivated team.

A sound understanding of how to portray Graphical User Interface software documentation at User level.
A sound working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat software.
A good understanding of current illustrative and reprographic techniques.
