PURCHASING CO-ORDINATOR
I have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Co-ordinator to work for our client based in Huntingdon. Our client is an established and successful business with sister companies globally and deals with some house hold and well-known brands.
With a low staff turnover, you will be joining a really happy company. As well as a salary of £22,000 per annum, you will also be eligible for an annual profit share bonus and a discretionary Christmas bonus. Reporting to the Sales & Purchasing Supervisor, this position would suit a person wanting to work in a busy office environment.
Main duties:
·Placing purchase orders
·Stock control/booking in stock
·Main contact in liaising with suppliers on day to day issues
·Understanding the abilities of suppliers, lead times and special requirements
·Building strong supplier relationships
·Assisting with complaints
·Freight cost analysis
Experience and skills required:
·Accuracy and timeliness
·Previous purchasing experience
·Professional attitude
·Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
·Up to date IT skills
