Senior Management Accountant
Reports to - Director of Finance
Job Purpose
·Play a leadership role within a fast growth, highly leveraged, PE-backed business, delivering high quality financial information and business partnering to members of the senior management team
·Responsible for the management and development of the Finance team of 3 staff
·Demonstrate a mindset of continuous improvement, and an ability to grow at pace with the business
·Responsible for financial operations (expenses, purchase ledger, etc),
·Assist with the production of management accounts and cashflow forecasting
·Assist the Director of Finance with statutory compliance (VAT, Corporation Tax, audit, etc), ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory financial reporting
·Assist with preparing the budgets for each of the entities
·Develop financial controls as required to meet the changing needs of the business
·Integrate acquisitions effectively into the group from a finance perspective
·Act at all times for the exclusive benefit of the business and its customers
Key Skills/Competencies & Qualifications · Leadership qualities - Ability to manage and lead a small team of 3 staff · A collaborative and innovative approach to working · Act with integrity at all times when working with stakeholders · Ability to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and forecasting · Ability to produce draft financial accounts for submission to Auditors · Accounting qualifications · A competent level of knowledge of Sage 200, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Outlook · Ability to problem solve and openness to change · Good numerical, written, oral, communication skills and ability to prioritise a varied workload Main Duties & Responsibilities · Assist with the Financial / Management Accounting for all group companies · Assist with the production of accurate and timely financial information (monthly management accounts, Financial sections of Board Packs, etc) · Support the Annual Budget process across group · Ad-hoc modelling of investment and strategic initiatives · Provision of monthly financial information for Directors · Provision of divisional reporting information · Complete/Supervise monthly journals e.g. Accruals/Prepayments · Balance sheet a/c reconciliations, monthly/year end accounts preparation · Monthly Income reconciliation/journals · Fixed Assets/Depreciation. Record fixed assets purchased/calculation of depreciation. · Provide financial information and advice to colleagues · Quarterly reporting and solvency calculation for all regulated entities · Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts · VAT returns · Corporate Tax compliance · Ad hoc projects (e.g. finance process efficiency, Making Tax Digital, VAT projects, etc) For more information please call Nanette on 01480 431888 or send me your CV.
