Warehouse / Stock Control Operative

£Negotiable plus benefits

Our client runs a busy manufacturing and distribution company based in Huntingdon. They are looking for a warehouse / Stock Control Operative to join their growing team.

Main Duties of the Warehouse / Stock control Operative
To ensure the best possible quality and service is delivered to internal and external customers.

•Ensure the effective Stock control and accuracy to support the aims of the business in terms of Quality, Cost, Speed, Dependability, Flexibility
•Implementing cycle count process:
Conduct physical counts and reconcile with Management system
Keep updated stock records

•Analysis of cycle count data
•Proactively look for process improvements with a methodical and consistent approach. Take responsibility and ownership in problem investigation and resolution.
•Ensure effective use of warehouse space through organisation, housekeeping and layout to optimise flow of processes

Skills and knowledge required for the Warehouse / Stock Control Operative
•Relevant warehouse/cycle count experience
•An ability to adhere to schedules
•Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data records
•Clear, open communication, written and verbal
•Problem solving skills
•Computer literate and knowledge of Warehouse Management / ERP systems
•Forklift / Reach truck certification
