Sales Account Manager
We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Sales Account Manager for our client based in St Neots. It would be of benefit for candidates to have experience of reading technical drawings and also to have been involved in solution selling.
Purpose of Job: To be proactive in increasing and securing sales, whilst ensuring that customer orders are successfully and efficiently completed, adding value to the experience by delivering an enhanced customer service.
·Creating and securing new orders
·Following up quotations
·Telephone maintenance marketing (building rapport with customers)
·Attaining and exceeding sales targets
·Quotes on new and existing parts
·Uphold the Customer Pledge (see below)
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
·To be accountable for reaching set targets and the results that they produce
·To be the one point of contact for customers, providing first class customer service
·To follow and adhere to the company's code of conduct
Requirements & Personal Attributes:
·To be dynamic and tenacious in their approach to sales without being aggressive

·Good communication skills and having a flexible approach are essential, as they will be working as part of a team.
·Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
·Have an ability to multi-task, working to a high capacity and independently
·To contribute to the continuous improvement of work processes, and working environment
·To be computer literate with at least intermediate skills in excel and MS office
·The desire to learn and be challenged
·Previous sales experience is essential within a solution sales environment, preferably within manufacturing
·Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and dimensions desirable
·Experience of CAD desirable
Our client understands that customer service is paramount and strives to provide more than the customer expects.
·All quotation requests are fulfilled within 24 hours or if complex the customer is immediately advised when the quotation will be sent.
·Acknowledgement of all orders to customers with delivery dates.
·Schedules are produced to ensure that they meet quoted and acknowledged delivery dates.
·If our client encounters delivery problems, they will inform customers of the delay and the revised delivery date.
·Real time data collection is used to ensure the most efficient method of manufacture is used and any cost savings passed onto customers.
·The company has designed and implemented a customer portal, where customers have access through our website to confirm the progress and expected delivery date of their orders.
·The team produce detailed method sheets for every job to ensure repeatability of quality standards and full traceability.
·The production of statistics on quality standards and delivery times achieved which is available for inspection by customers.
·Flexible at all times to meet and exceed customers' needs.
·The focal point for all customer communication is the Account Manager .
·There is a formal complaint procedure which is available on request, but in the first instance customers should contact their Account Manager.
