Our client based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire and looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support their growing manufacturing facility and drive excellence through continuous improvement.
As part of a team, the successful candidate will be responsible for optimising the performance of manufacturing operations through the delivery of quality, delivery and efficiency improvements, using continuous improvement and lean techniques.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
•Drive process and component quality improvements to improve manufacturing FTPR (First Time Pass Rate).
•Support NPD/NPI projects.
•Support improvements of internal process yield and external quality PPM by the design and implementation of tooling, jigs, fixtures, test equipment and improved processes.
•Drive Lean Manufacturing principles using the Kaizen toolset.
•Identify, install and commission new plant and equipment to meet the businesses changing product and process needs.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be:

•Able to analyse and make decisions based on data.
•Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for process improvement
The Manufacturing Education or Experience will have:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
•3+ years in a manufacturing/operations/engineering role (desirable but not essential - this is a great opportunity for the right graduate)
•Demonstrated ability to design and create mechanical solutions.
•Evidence of excellent practical skills.
•Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
