Shipping & Logistics Co-ordinator
Shipping and Logistics Co-ordinator required to direct, manage and co-ordinate the logistics and transportation activities for this well-respected technology company based in Huntingdon.
The role will involve processing orders, co-ordinating shipments and invoicing good to dealers and distributors globally. You will possess strong communication skills to be able to liaise with customers, couriers and colleagues to ensure the on-time shipment and invoicing of all products and spare parts.
§Scheduling and coordinating all shipments, including preparing all the supporting customs documentation and invoicing.
§Liaising with Sales, Production, and Customers to obtain all the necessary information on orders prior to shipment.
§Managing all activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to ensure agreed deadlines are met.
§Coordinating all international logistics, including the import and export of goods
§Instructing couriers and working collaboratively with them to ensure the safety and security of goods in transit and compliance with legal
requirements and established logistics procedures.
§Working with external suppliers to arrange delivery of stock internationally.
§Effectively utilising procedures and best practices to deliver optimal shipping solutions.
§Working with and reviewing shipping documents such as Bill of Ladings, commercial invoices, packing list, certificates of origin, etc and
ensuring that correct paperwork is in place.
§Preparing and submitting necessary documents for customs clearance.
The Shipping and Logistics Co-ordinator must have excellent Excel and Word and ideally some knowledge of SAP or a similar system. You will enjoy working in a fast-moving sales office environment and demonstrate the ability to prioritise work in a pressurised environment.
