We’re recruiting an Assistant Commercial Manager on behalf of an innovative, growing technology business based in Waterbeach, Cambridge. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based position offering a salary of £35,000–£55,000 depending on experience — and a genuinely stimulating opportunity for a commercially and legally minded professional looking to develop their career at the centre of a global operation.

This is a broad, varied and intellectually demanding role, supporting the global commercial objectives of the business across contract management, risk, compliance, partner onboarding and bid support. You’ll report to the Commercial Manager and operate across a wide stakeholder network — engaging with global sales partners, customers, governments and suppliers — balancing competing priorities with sound judgement and clear communication. If you’re curious, comfortable with complexity and keen to grow within a business moving into an exciting new technology space, this is well worth a closer look.

Please note: this role requires SC (Security Clearance). Some travel will be required — a full, clean driving licence, valid passport and access to your own vehicle are essential, with travel expenses reimbursed.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements including channel partner contracts, confidentiality and teaming agreements and software licences
  • Managing a portfolio of partner agreements across the full contract lifecycle, including renewals, performance obligations and governance
  • Conducting contractual onboarding of partners including full due diligence checks
  • Providing commercial support to in-flight contracts, managing contract changes, monitoring performance and mitigating commercial risk
  • Supporting the Bid function in preparing and submitting proposals to customers in conjunction with internal subject matter experts
  • Working with Finance to ensure the suitability of performance bonds, bank guarantees, parent company guarantees and trade finance instruments
  • Supporting the creation of export licence applications
  • Liaising with external legal counsel where required
  • Acting as a trusted internal point of contact for ad hoc commercial, contractual and compliance matters, escalating where appropriate
  • Contributing to a culture of best practice and knowledge-sharing across the business

Skills/Experience:

  • Degree qualified in Law, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience — essential
  • Good understanding of contract law and its practical application — essential
  • Knowledge of contract, commercial and risk management methods
  • Comfortable conducting legal research on complex matters of law
  • Understanding of basic business finance including profit and loss, margin and markup
  • Knowledge of UK/EU competition law, procurement regulations, intellectual property rights and export regulation
  • Awareness of domestic and international sanctions regimes
  • Ability to identify, assess and manage commercial risk effectively
  • Strong stakeholder management skills — confident engaging with global partners in virtual and in-person environments
  • Proactive, tenacious and results-driven with a high level of personal integrity
  • Fluent in written and spoken English — essential
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as GDL/LPC, IACCM or CIPS — advantageous
  • Experience in telecommunications, IT or defence technology — desirable

We’re recruiting a part-time Office Administrator on behalf of a well-established, specialist technology business based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. This is a permanent position working 16 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 9:30am–1:30pm, on-site — with a start date of 2nd November 2026. The role pays £16.00 per hour and offers a varied, hands-on administrative position within a small, close-knit team.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the business, covering everything from customer support and facilities management through to production administration and general office coordination. Main Responsibilities:

  • Raising invoices and despatch notes and handling straightforward customer enquiries

  • Generating scheduled Excel reports and producing database reports for the Production Manager
